David Brown
President, Register.com
David Brown became President of Register.com when Web.com acquired Register.com. Mr. Brown also serves as Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer and has been a board member of Web.com since August 1999. He was named President of Web.com in August 1999 and Chief Executive Officer in August 2000. Mr. Brown founded Atlantic Teleservices, a technology services company in 1997 which became a part of Website Pros in 1999. Website Pros subsequently changed its name to Web.com. Prior to founding Atlantic Teleservices, Brown held numerous executive positions including posts at Carlyle International, Riggs National Bank, Florida National Bank and Barnett Bank. Mr. Brown holds a B.A. in General Studies from Harvard.
Gary Michel
Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer, Register.com
Gary Michel brings nearly two decades of experience in financial roles to Register.com, serving as a key member on senior leadership teams in developing growth strategies, while maintaining fiscal responsibility and day-to-day management of financial operations. Prior to joining Register.com on November 1, 2007, Gary served as the International CFO at Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) with responsibility for leading the three year consolidation of all international businesses into one business unit which significantly improved performance and profitability. During Gary's 10 years at D&B he held various leadership roles as a member of the Global Leadership Team including: Global Strategy Leader, CFO of North America, Global Reengineering Leader, and CFO of Europe.
Earlier in his career Gary worked as a Finance Director at The McGraw-Hill Companies and an Audit Manager at PriceWaterhouse Coopers. Gary has a degree in accounting from the University of Delaware.
Myles Trachtenberg
Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer, Register.com
Myles Trachtenberg joined Register.com Fall 2007 as SVP, Chief Information Officer.
Myles brings over 20 years of experience in technology roles including strategic, operating, and general management responsibilities. Myles's career spans start-ups, turnarounds, and high-growth companies (FreshDirect, CapitalThinking and IntraLinks) as well larger institutions (Prudential Insurance, Chase, and Citibank). He has served as a key member on senior leadership teams in developing growth strategies and leading edge technology. He is a technology innovator, who received the CIO 100 Award for his leadership while at FreshDirect. Prior to joining Register.com, Myles served as Vice President, Business Development for Digicash.
Myles received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Vermont.
Roni Jacobson
Executive Vice President, Product and General Counsel, Register.com
Roni Jacobson joined Register.com as Associate General Counsel in January, 2000. During her tenure with the company, Roni has progressed through several leadership positions, including Executive Vice President, Product and General Counsel and her current role as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Business Development. Prior to joining Register.com, Roni was a corporate attorney at the law firm, Loeb & Loeb LLP where she worked on M&A transactions, venture capital financings and general corporate and Internet matters for public and private companies in the media and Internet industries.
Roni received her B.A. from Barnard College, Columbia University and her J.D., cum laude from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law where she was an editor of the Cardozo Law Review.
Alexander (Sandy) Ross
Senior Vice President of Sales and Services, Register.com
Alexander (Sandy) Ross has led the customer services and sales operations of New York based Register.com since March, 2006. As Register's senior representative in Nova Scotia, Canada, Sandy is responsible for the vision, leadership, and successful execution of all aspects of customer care and contact center operations.
Prior to joining Register.com, Sandy served as Regional Director for Minacs Worldwide Canada where he led contact services for the Atlantic Region. In this role, Sandy effectively led all aspects of contact centre operations in Eastern Canada, overseeing 3 centres and 800 staff members. Sandy has held various customer service and operational leadership positions at Canadian companies, including Convergys Customer Management, Maritime Telephone & Telegraph and the Bank of Nova Scotia.
Sandy received his B.A. Honours from the University of Kings College, and his MBA from Dalhousie University.
Stuart Horowitz
Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Government Relations, Register.com
Stuart Horowitz joined the Register.com team to lead Human Resources in January 2005. Prior to this, Stuart was Vice President, Human Resources with C3i, Inc., a leading provider of Internet-enabled Customer Relationship Management (CRM) services. Previously, Stuart held senior level Human Resources positions with McDATA Corporation and New Era of Networks. In addition to his responsibilities leading the human resources team Stuart is also responsible for Register.com's government relations initiatives. Stuart practiced law before concentrating his career in human resources.
Stuart received a Bachelor's degree from Vassar College and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami.
